Digital Media Consumption Patterns During COVID19
Extraordinary times we are living in right now.
As we anticipate a slowdown in the next few weeks, these are some observations that I have personally gathered in different parts of the world:
- Online Delivery of Products and Services
- E-commerce website
- Digital Delivery
- In-person Delivery
- Social media consumption will grow
- Facebook, Instagram, websites
- Streaming videos, Youtube, Netflix
- People stuck at home wanting to learn something
- E-courses
- E-books
- In-person contacts will slow, which leads to
- Virtual meetings / webinars
So far Google Analytics has shown that there had been an increase in web traffic for my retail-based clients. So the interest is there, however they may not be ready to buy.
This will be a time to build up a stronger infrastructure, so we can brace ourselves for the potential economic damage ahead and have a quick recovery.
